Tradeflite reads fresh paper-market information and your allowed strategy sources.
Understand every Tradeflite decision
Short explanations for beginners. Tradeflite is still a trading app: help appears when you want it and stays out of the way when you do not.
The daily workflow
Safety first
The AI Trading Expert explains one idea—or decides that no trade is safer.
Fixed rules verify price freshness, position size, loss limits, liquidity, and protective exits.
Manual mode waits for you. Paper-auto mode may place only a passing simulated order.
Tradeflite reconciles the broker result and adds it to your reports and paper-validation evidence.
A target is a goal, not a promise. Markets can move against any strategy. Tradeflite may choose no trade, and live-money automation remains locked until the full paper and safety gates are proven.
Trading glossary
Short explanations for beginners. Tradeflite is still a trading app: help appears when you want it and stays out of the way when you do not.
AI TradingWhat does the AI Trading Expert do?It studies current evidence and proposes an explainable action or no trade.
The AI can compare fresh prices, your allowed indicators, and processed strategy documents. It cannot bypass the risk engine. A confident answer is still only a proposal until deterministic safety rules pass.
StocksWhat is a stock?A small ownership piece of a public company.
If you buy one share, its value rises or falls with the market price. Tradeflite sizes a paper stock position so one idea cannot use more than your configured limits.
OptionsWhat is an option?A time-limited contract linked to a stock, usually representing 100 shares.
Options can move much faster than stocks and can lose their full price. Version 1 uses only exact contracts, whole contract quantities, defined maximum loss, minimum time remaining, liquidity checks, and supervised protective exits.
RiskStop lossA planned exit if price moves too far against the trade.
For stock buys, Tradeflite sends the entry and protective exits together as a broker-native bracket. For paper options, Tradeflite stores the protection before entry and supervises the exit with fresh quotes during the regular market session.
RiskTake profitA planned exit after the price reaches a favorable level.
It protects discipline by defining the exit before the order. It does not guarantee a fill at that exact price; fast markets may create slippage.
RiskMaximum daily lossThe most the account is allowed to lose in one day before new orders stop.
Tradeflite recalculates the remaining allowance from fresh broker evidence. When no allowance remains, new buy orders fail closed instead of trying to recover the loss.
RiskMaximum investment per dayA cap on how much new exposure Tradeflite may add during one day.
This is separate from the daily loss limit. Both must pass, along with per-trade size, total exposure, and trade-count limits.
AutomationPaper tradingTrading with simulated money through Alpaca.
It uses real market behavior but no real investment cash. Paper results can differ from live results because fills, liquidity, and emotion are not identical.
AutomationManual versus paper-autoManual waits for approval; paper-auto can submit a passing simulated order.
The emergency stop overrides paper-auto immediately. Live-money automation is a separate locked mode with no activation control in the proof-of-concept app.
StrategiesUploaded strategy documentsPDF or text material the AI may consider as a named source.
Tradeflite validates and processes the file, limits its size, and keeps it inside the household. A document can guide analysis but cannot replace a fresh market quote or override risk rules.
ReportsNet profit, return, and win rateDifferent measurements of performance after a trade closes.
Net profit subtracts fees and estimated slippage. Return compares profit with capital at risk. Win rate is the percentage of closed trades that made money; a high win rate can still lose overall if losses are larger than wins.
ReportsMaximum drawdownThe largest fall from a previous account high.
Drawdown shows how painful a strategy was even if it later recovered. Tradeflite uses broker-verified paper snapshots, not an AI estimate, for release evidence.
